description

For the first time ever, Alec had met someone who made him want more, someone who made him hope that one day he could have a relationship lasting longer than a few hours.

At first, the blurb look way too cliche.
You randomly pick hot shmexy guy to hook up from gay bar on Friday night , one night stand, no string attached, just fuck and mind blowing sex with stranger and back to "normal" life, but then you found out that the stranger you'd fucked on Friday night turn out to be a new temps at your office!

Sounds cliche ?

But WAIT!

In good hands, this cliché story can be something and consumed you in every words. And THAT what happen to me when I read this book. CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!

I know this story would be something since I first saw the cover and read the blurb.
I JUST KNEW IT!

Alec, have everything in every men dreams. Handsome, good carrier as prestigious lawyer in big law firm, but unpleasant thing happened in his past that made him learned to hide and live deep in closet for years.
Randomly hook up with stranger was his only choice and keep his personal sex life in private was another thing to keep.

His perfect live turn upside down on one Monday morning when the stranger he'd fuck from last Friday night show up on his office as the new trainee under his wing.

Panic?
You bet!

Of all the guys in London he could have picked up, it had to be his new boss.

Ed is young handsome openly gay. His only intentions for this moment is to impressed his co-worker and boss in his new job as a temps in prestigious law firm in London. On one Friday night he met with this gorgeous man that stole his breath away. One passionate night with a sexy stranger had blown his mind.
But what happen when a man from Friday night turned out to be his new boss?

One word. TROUBLE!

Both Alec and Ed tried hard to keep what had happened between them strictly platonic and professional, but Ed presence kept distracted him and his body keep betrayed what his brain trying to do.
The tension became more and more unbearable.

Ed was like a drug, enhancing his senses and stealing his reason.

Alec tried to hide his feeling by being an asshole to Ed at work and make a distance. But then a journey to Edinburgh had ruined the fragile wall they tried to build all these long. But could what happen there will last forever?

description

Can Alec hide his uncontrollable growing attraction to Ed for more?

Will he dare to take all the consequences to be with the man who had made him wants more?

You don't wanna miss what will happen next!

***

What I love the most about this book is Alec struggle when he decided to come out and his brave step to reach for his happiness with all the consequences.

And what I adore from this story is Ed patient for Alec.
He try to understand Alec situation but being someone dirty little secret definitely not what he wants.

I love how they manage to make the relationship happen and fight for their happiness.

The "spider attack" and "The spider mafia family" things totally hilarious.
And a very romantic love confession on Harry Potter's duvet cover, really?
Only you Jay who can wrote this silly-romantic-scenes into something utterly romantic!

Another sweet-less angst-heart warming story to devour from Jay Northcote.

RECOMMENDED!

About The Author

Jay Northcote
Jay lives just outside Bristol in the West of England, with her husband, two children, and two cats. She comes from a family of writers, but she always used to believe that the gene for fiction writing had passed her by. She spent years only ever writing emails, articles, or website content.

One day, she decided to try and write a short story—just to see if she could—and found it rather addictive. She hasn’t stopped writing since.

Jay writes contemporary gay romance about men who fall in love with other men, usually set in or near her home town of Bristol. She enjoys the challenge of bringing the men in her head to life through her words.
