"When you started reading a book and realized, Oh shit, this is it. This is a special one. The words crackled, the story clicked, the characters bounced off the page, and suddenly, boom –you were intoxicated. As you read, something intangible grabbed you, hooked you, and soon you were both sinking and flying into a kaleidoscopic joy that you somehow knew was going to rearrange your bones forever."

This is EXACTLY what I feel when I read Honesty!

This book had captured me even before I read it. I already falling for this book since the first time Seth had 'tease' me with quotes he post about this book.
And I know from those quotes, that I will face not only beautiful story but also a heartbreaking one.

I thought I had prepared enough...
But then....I found that it never be 'enough'....

Cole & Nick story has consumed me from the very first page, and soon I'm drowning into up and down of their emotions, make me hard to breathe...

"Our story had been a secret, for worse and better. We’d met in the shadows and bloomed in the dark. But now he was mine, and I would safeguard him for eternity."

Honesty is about Coley and Nicky, who falling in love on one-bright-brutal summer days. Two afraid young boys who trying to find their happiness, love and acceptance in "ColeyAndNickyVille", the world they created together against all the homophobic world of religious fanatics. A safe place that only exist behind the closed door and in their mind...
And my heart bleed for these two pure-broken-innocence-soul.

Seth King definitely know how to 'torture' readers heart.
The whole reading for me was like....someone ripped open my heart then 'insert the knife, and twist it'...again...and again...
Leaving me suffer & bleed in ugly cry as the story reach the end.

Last four chapters were the hardest part for me. I got blurry eyes and can't stop crying. I fall into a massive breakdown....
As if....it's me who had that broken heart, not just Cole...
I curled in my bed, clutching my Kindle in my chest as if it's Coley and Nicky and hugs them tight in my heart...leave my Kindle in a messy wet.

Thank you for all the tears, Seth...
Thank you for all tears you gave me at two in the morning and all  swollen eyes and the dizziness I got the morning after, suffering from hours of crying after I finished your book.

And thank you for sharing your thoughts about all LGBT issues through Coley and Nicky minds....
And I thank "the boy with the golden eyes", because without him....there will be NO HONESTY....

My world never be the same again after I SURVIVED this book! (Can I wear 'I've read Seth King's books and I survived.' T-shirt now?)

If Adele's song "All I Ask" got me missing a man I don't even have,

Seth King's book succeed got me missing, longing and CRYING for a boy with 'galaxy eyes' that I NEVER have!!!!

And no, this book definitely NOT "just another gay story", because this book way MORE deeper than that...

The cover had won the first place in my heart due to it originality, all the simplicity and for portraying 'the message' from the book perfectly (I'm glad there's no guy with abs on the cover!)

This book is a gem, and Seth King succeed made me falling deeply in love with his beautiful-sadly-poetic-writing-style.

Honesty will always have special place forever in my heart.

If a book could sing, it would be like this. Sad but beautiful...

“Shit, Coley,” he’d said in the car, and I’d looked over at him then, so happy I wanted to cry.
“Yeah?”
“Love me forever, okay?”

And again....I start to cry....

ONE OF THE BEST BOOK I'VE READ THIS YEAR!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
