🌿🌿🌿

I’ve been so excited about N.R. Walker newest book and really can’t wait to devour it. But I must admit, the first few pages at the beginning didn’t catch me that well. I have a bit struggling with my mood at first, but when Monroe agreed and decided to seek for help by following the therapy to fix his alcoholic problem and seeing how broken he is and his regrets and struggling to fight his demons for the person he love and put myself on his shoes, I started to understand. The hurts, the angers, the regrets, the broken he felt inside emerged in me during the reading. And the next thing I know….I’m crying along with him for the rest of the reading…

I didn’t have personal experience with an alcoholic person, so I didn’t clicked with the raw emotions at the beginning, but this book help me to understand the situations and the struggling of those who fighting their addictions through what the author trying to portrayed through Monroe’s story. And could clearly understand what the people around the addicted person been struggling through Erik side.

The Hate You Drink had enlightened me about the struggle alcohol addict must face during their fight to be free. It’s totally heartbreaking, I cried at some part but this book also gave me the warm sensation feels through the emotional connections between the two main characters.

Again, N.R. Walker never ceased to amazed me with her writing. This one is definitely another recommended read from her.

N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance.
She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.

She is many things: a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.

She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love.

She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.

She’s been writing ever since…
